ICD Power Solution Make Hybrid Power Factor Correction Panel (HPFC) that replaces traditional contactor-based and thyristorised APFC with the benefits of active technology, such as step-less reactive power compensation and precise correction in Grid Supply and Generators. Correct selection ensures ultrafast compensation complies with required harmonic limitations, maintains unity power factor, and reduces KVAH energy and peak demand costs, resulting in No Penalty and cost savings.
In order to provide ultra-rapid reaction, endlessly variable kVAr, and harmonics management, the ICD Power Solution Hybrid system combines traditional power factor correction systems and the most recent IGBT-based technologies. It may be used in low voltage or medium voltage electrical distribution networks.
By infusing immediate and constantly varying reactive power and harmonic currents, these systems are able to deliver reaction times that are nearly real-time. They are widely utilized in sectors of the economy where harmonic producing loads are produced in large quantities, including UPS, variable frequency motors, induction furnaces, servo drives, and the like.
It is typically not viable for customers to lower KVAH for utilities billing on KVAH by employing capacitor banks alone since harmonics existing in the system also contribute to higher KVA consumption and need to be addressed appropriately
